In the spirit of humanity, sharing, and attachment between the two peoples, as well as the comprehensive partnership and cooperation between the two countries, the President said that Vietnam has decided to provide humanitarian assistance of $500,000 to the Ukraine people through the Red Cross and the United Nations; and is ready to cooperate in the reconstruction of Ukraine in the future.”
Mr. Phuc reiterated Vietnam’s longstanding position that all disputes should be resolved by peaceful means, in accordance with fundamental principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, including respect for the independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of countries, without using force or threatening to use force.
“Vietnam supports and is willing to participate in the joint efforts of the international community to provide relief to the people, as well as promote dialogue, and seek a lasting peaceful solution on the basis of conformity with the law, international relations, especially respecting the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries, meeting the legitimate interests and concerns of all parties,” Phuc said.
