Perhaps, 90% of Vietnamese people still believe that Tran Thi Nguyet Thu, the wife of former State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, is the “last boss,” according to accusations on social networks. Not to mention the information that she was imprisoned in Hanoi for a profit of VND1.4 trillion ($58.5 million), etc.
The story just told seems to be quite convincing, because the three individuals, Mrs. Thu, Mr. Khe (Nguyen Cong Khe) and Mr. Phan Quoc Viet, are all Quang Nam compatriots of the former president, which is easy to make people believe.
Based on a status of Khe writing compliments to Phan Quoc Viet and Viet A Company in the production and trading of test kits, people affirm that “definitely” Khe is related. With that said, it would like to ask, is it also related to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong signing the 3rd class Labor Medal to Viet A?
In addition, Bay Phuc was deposed as President, making the public believe even more and affirm that his wife is the “last boss.”
But, if he is not really blamed, then Bay Phuc certainly does not dare to justify himself. That was the speech of Bay Phuc at the ceremony to hand over the State President position to Vice President Nguyen Thi Anh Xuan on February 4, in front of the lens of domestic and foreign media agencies, and tens of millions of television viewers.
According to Tuoi Tre newspaper, Bay Phuc said, “However, as Prime Minister for the 2016-2021 term, I take the political responsibility of the head, when there are some officials who violate, make mistakes, and cause serious consequences” and “Aware of my responsibilities to the Party and people, I have submitted an application to stop holding positions, resign from work, and retire.”
Notably, unexpectedly, Bay Phuc added about the Viet A case, and affirmed, “My family, my wife, and my children are not self-interested, corrupt in relation to Viet A, have never met the Director of Viet A, this was clearly concluded by the Central Inspection Commission.”
At this point, there are still many people who still do not believe that Bay Phuc and his family members are innocent, but still believe that Bay Phuc is a liar. When one does not pay attention to details, “this was clearly concluded by the Central Inspection Commission.”
Those who understand Vietnamese politics, surely know that General Secretary Trong is the man who holds absolute power in the Party. In addition to the thorough support of “foreign countries,” Trong also received unlimited support from two political groups Nghe An and Ha Tinh. In particular, the head of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu is a close ally of General Secretary Trong. Certainly, Cam Tu will never be silent before Bay Phuc’s assertion, “The Central Inspection Commission has clearly concluded,” if this is not true.
BBC Vietnamese commented, “Mr [Phuc’s] above statement seems to answer those speculations.”
Moreover, if he lied, after being “removed“, Bay Phuc did not dare to visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum every “holiday” with leaders and former leaders of the Party and State, not missing a single session. According to observers, former President Phuc wants to prove that he and his family are clean and not involved in Viet A.
Before there were rumors about the involvement of Bay Phuc’s wife, with the Viet A court. According to knowledgeable people, close to the “Golden House” said that this rumor comes from an independent source (or writes and publishes books about questionable things). The story of the “last boss” was written by this author in the form of a “question“, according to his personal thoughts, and then printed into a book for sale and gift within a very narrow limit. But later, the news from bloggers released, was just the information that came from that book.
They also revealed that it was a “conspiracy theory” information from the Ministry of Public Security, intentionally released to help someone who wants to remove one of the four pillars, to free their legs for the race for the seat of General Secretary, when General Secretary Trong is about to retire.
So now, people still ask: Who is the last boss of Viet A? It doesn’t seem superfluous, because everyone can see it, specifically:
Obviously, Phan Quoc Viet’s Viet A wanted a license to produce test kits, wanted to sell goods on the exclusive market, for VND 470,000/set, many times higher than the original price, it has to go through many management agencies.
Viet A is a small company, importing a large number of test kits from “foreign countries”, surely having to go through customs, border guards…from the two countries. Then the Viet A test kit product was faked “Made in Vietnam“, packed from Shenzhen and brought into Vietnam, how to bypass the market management, economic police and intelligence forces, without the consent of the senior leaders? Not to mention, there must be “very respected senior leader” to protect and provide financial support.
Who is Bay Phuc that directs the Party’s Central Commission for Propaganda and Education, the People’s Newspaper, the Army, the Communist Journal, the General Department of Politics… in the research and production of test kits of the Military Medical Academy?
How can Bay Phuc direct Nguyen Thanh Long, former deputy director of the Central Commission for Propaganda and Education, a close ally of General Secretary Trong?
Moreover, if you want all provinces, CDCs… to buy test kits from Viet A, only one individual can do it, including General Secretary Trong, but there must be a group of leading officials to direct the whole system to realize the campaign.
Therefore, it is doubtful that this plan comes from the diplomatic mission of a “foreign country” in Hanoi, which is worth thinking about. Is this a perfect plan to destroy Vietnam?
“Last boss” in Vietnamese means the boss – the person with the greatest power, standing behind and directing a gang. In addition, there is another homonymous phrase meaning “Last beam“, which implies a cluster – the biggest men colluding together for personal gain.
So it is useless to seek for the final boss? It would be hopeless. Because the “last boss” is the “group of interests” that will show up. Saying that Bay Phuc’s family is the “last boss” may just be outside information, but it is necessary to learn more closely the nature of political problems in Vietnam.
